Adopt a Rottweiler (short coat)

Rottweiler (short coat) Dog

Ruger the Dog needs a home

Isn't he handsome? This is our man Ruger, young Rottweiler surrendered to us by his owner when he could not take him when he moved. Ruger spent the first 9 months of his life chained in a backyard and being trained by his owner as a guard dog. :(

When surrendered he had no idea that another world existed beyond his back yard. We have spent the last couple months working with Ruger to help him understand that there is a life beyond the chain.

He has blossomed into a wonder...ful dog that has learned to love people and has done well with more docile dogs. He still gets shy with new people but we know that with patience he will get over his shyness. He loves to play fetch (he still hasn't mastered how to bring it all the way back but he sure looks happy chasing and picking up the toys we toss). :D

Ruger will do best in a home that will allow him time to adjust and at this time no kids. Children are always super excited to touch and hug animals and we know Ruger needs adjustment time. Don't let his past deter you from adopting our man. If you could see the love he has to give , the kisses he gives out without question and the joy he expresses for just being free to run in a fenced yard, you would see the wonderful dog Ruger truly is!

(Oh and he likes water and as you can tell he doesn't mind getting muddy. )
